School Calendar Update:
As your children may have told you, Author Illustrator Chris Van Dusen visited us at CCS yesterday and spoke with grades 1-4. He was planning to be in today, but unfortunately, Mother Nature was not cooperative. We wanted to pass along that Chris Van Dusen will be at Neighborhood Books in Presque Isle tonight at 5pm for a book signing event for anyone who was not able to make it yesterday.

CCS Nordic Ski team sports awards will be Monday, March 10, 2025, at 5:30 pm.
The lunch menu for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, has been changed to Chicken Burgers instead of Baked Chicken.
Lunch for tomorrow, 3/4/25, will now be Chicken and Gravy. Lunch on Thursday, 3/6/25, will be Macaroni and Cheese.

Even with our kindness initiative cut short due to inclement weather, our students documented 168 acts of kindness in the first two weeks of February!
Due to a two-day loss of school on the 13th and 14th, breakfast on Tuesday, February 25th will be MIni Filled Bagels instead of Breakfast Pizza.
February 28th breakfast is changing from mini-filled bagels to pumpkin bread.
Due to the projected forecast for tomorrow, February 13th, Eastern Aroostook RSU 39 will institute a Remote Learning Day. All school-related activities are also canceled.
Wrestling sign-ups end on 2/14/25. Practices will start Monday, February 25, 2025, after school.
Our staff had so much fun with another underground theme week last week! This one was more inconspicuous than the last! Themes included Twin Day, Viking Pride, and Hearts. Did your child notice?!
Our RSU 39 app keeps getting better and better! Parents/guardians who have already created a Rooms account can now access new app features like chat and class streams via web and in the app. Another round of invites have been sent today!

Week 1 of our Kindness Calendar at CCS has been very successful! Each heart placed on the tree represents a kind act done by a student or staff member following a daily theme. We can't wait to see how full we can make it next week!
