Go Brady Go!!! National Silver Medal! 🥈 Simply AMAZING! Tonight was a watch party for Brady Barnes, our National SkillsUSA Competitor. Since the National Conference was held during graduation week this year, Brady took the trek home early to also participate in his graduation ceremony. We couldn’t miss the chance to watch the live SkillsUSA awards ceremony together. The reaction is priceless!!! We are so proud of you, Brady!

School Budget Vote-June 9th
Caribou Tech Agriculture students recently had the opportunity to tour the incredible Pineland Farms!
During the visit, students explored various areas of agriculture and learned about the wide range of careers related to farming, food production, and equipment operation. Students had the chance to see firsthand how a large agricultural operation runs on a daily basis while learning essential skills needed to apply for a job and successfully keep a job within the company and workforce.
Experiences like this help connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities and allow students to explore future career pathways within the agriculture industry.
A huge thank you to everyone at Pineland Farms for taking the time to host our students, provide such an educational experience, and showcase the many opportunities available within agriculture. We truly appreciate your hospitality and support of Career & Technical Education!

Behind the scenes and beyond the classroom, one person helps keep Caribou Tech Center running every single day. From making sure our building is ready for students, to safely transporting them to and from school, Mr. Farley goes above and beyond for our entire CTE family.
This week, Mr. Farley topped it all off by organizing a special ice cream social to celebrate our students and all of their hard work throughout the year. 🍦

We are proud to announce that Kaydence Howes and Angel Hafford, both Caribou Tech Health and Medical Sciences and Bridge Academy Maine students from Ashland High School, have been selected for the prestigious Vanderbilt Medical Research Center Aspirnaut Program - a highly competitive 6-week summer internship held on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
This selective program chooses just 20 research assistants from across the nation each summer, making this an incredible achievement for both students.
Kaydence has officially submitted her commitment form and has secured her travel arrangements for later this month. She is excited to attend the program this summer, where she will gain hands-on experience in medical research. Previous Aspirnaut Research Assistants have been awarded full tuition scholarships to top universities in the state of Maine.
Angel, while honored to be selected, has made the thoughtful decision to focus on working and taking college classes this summer to further strengthen her path toward acceptance into the college of her choice.

Caribou Tech Center is proud to announce Brady Barnes as the Student of the Year for the 2025–2026 school year. A senior at Caribou High School and a four-year Caribou Tech student, Brady exemplifies the highest standards of leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom. Starting his journey during his 9th-grade year, Brady was looking for purpose in his education and to gain skills he knew would last a lifetime. He desired to learn how to fix his own car, spray his own garden, or service his family's lawn tractor.
Brady has participated in multiple Caribou Tech programs, starting in our exploratory program. Brady has also taken two years in Agriculture, one year of Large Equipment and Maintenance Operations, and one year in our Criminal Justice program, where he was previously recognized as Student of the Quarter. During his four years, he has also spent time each year learning essential skills in our JMG program. From day one, Brady has led with quiet confidence—always prepared, focused, and committed to doing things the right way. He sets high expectations for himself while serving as a mentor to younger students, fostering teamwork, accountability, and respect across programs. This is evidenced by multiple nominations for this honor from staff at Caribou Tech Center who have not had Brady in class.
In our programs, Brady has developed strong technical and mechanical skills, particularly in welding. He consistently applies his learning to real-world projects and is currently assisting with the construction of a steel flatbed body for a farm truck. His certifications reflect both his work ethic and readiness for the workforce and include forklift safety, tractor safety, OSHA 10 (General Industry and Construction), Stop the Bleed, Maine Career Exploration Badge, Maine Career Exploration Model Credentials and First Aid/CPR.
Brady is deeply involved in Career and Technical Student Organizations. He is an active participant in FFA, SkillsUSA and he currently serves as President of the National Technical Honor Society chapter, demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and service to his peers. Brady earned a gold medal in the job interview contest at SkillsUSA and will represent our school at the national conference in June in Atlanta, Georgia.
Beyond Caribou Tech, Brady is a consistent honor roll student at Caribou High School and a key member of the golf team, where he has earned numerous accolades for his performance. He has also been a hardworking employee in our Agriculture program, where he has assisted with bringing in our school's potato crop and he works at a local gas station.
Brady represents Caribou Tech Center with pride and professionalism. He was selected to represent the school at the Hall of Flags in Augusta, where he was a student speaker from the podium and he was personally asked to provide a tour of our school to State Senator Sue Bernard—an opportunity that reflects the trust and respect he has earned from staff and administration alike.
In Brady’s words, “Caribou Tech Classes have been the best thing to happen to me; they motivated me to come to school, and I always felt like I was seen.” Caribou Tech Center certainly sees Brady. He is thoughtful, mature, and dependable. He embodies what it means to be a Caribou Tech Center Student of the Year. We are incredibly proud to recognize him for his achievements, leadership, character, and the positive impact he has made on our school community. For the many times he’s thanked me for the opportunities presented to him at Caribou Tech, I’d like to express my gratitude to Brady for allowing us to be part of his path and journey. He’s blessed our staff and school.
