April 12, 2018

This past weekend both Caribou Middle School and High School Show Choir groups performed at the MMEA State Show Choir and Jazz Festival at Stearns.  Both teams did an exceptional job representing our district.

Middle School placed third and earned a silver rating (90-94) with an average of 92.3. Earning outstanding musicianship awards were Hannah Beauchamp and Ryan Austin. Ahlanda Englstrom-Jones, Justin Walton, Kallee Parent, Autumn Estabrook, Afton Marker, Lauren Lister, and Mia Theriault were all recognized with solo certificates.

Caribou High School earned an honorable mention, scoring 84.6667. To earn a bronze medal we needed at least an 85. Highlights in the show were soloists Sheridan Blackstone, Abby Allen, Kyra Thibeault, Ashley Violette, Christopher Parent, and Michael Kashian along with a stellar portrayal of Mrs. Doubtfire by senior All-State member Rieley Bossie.
