Welcome to the Eastern Aroostook RSU 39 website. RSU 39 is a school district that comprises the communities of Caribou and Stockholm located in beautiful central Aroostook County.  RSU 39 takes great pride in providing a student-centered approach to teaching and learning for all our students and greater satisfaction with building strong ties with our respective communities.

Our district’s mission is to prepare all RSU 39 students for learning, life, and work in a global community, in doing so we are “Preparing Today’s Learners for Tomorrow’s World”. RSU 39 works hard to ensure that our school buildings and grounds are well maintained and that our students can learn in a safe environment.  RSU 39’s mission is for our students to engage in meaningful learning activities that foster and enhance independence and personal growth.

RSU 39  continues to value close, personal relationships with the families of our students.  There are many school-based experiences that bring families into the learning experience and many others designed to bring families, staff, and schools closer together to create strong communities.  Our educators communicate with families in a variety of ways and we encourage you to reach out to our educators as well.  RSU 39 School District is only as strong as its relationships with parents and community members. 

So, whether you are visiting our wonderful schools, attending our athletic events, taking part in our many student activities, or participating in our musical/art performances, I hope we can provide you with a reason to be a part of our school experience.
