Grading:

• Your JMG grade will be incorporated into your CTE program grade. Each JMG assignment is worth a test grade. If you miss a JMG lesson due to absence, you will have 48 hours to submit your JMG work.

All Caribou Tech Students take JMG! 

Students at Caribou Tech will be co-enrolled in our JMG program.

JMG lessons will be tailored to specific CTE programs. For example, students in Auto Tech can expect to learn about career information and post-secondary training opportunities in the Automotive field.

JMG Lessons Covered

 Regardless of which CTE program students are enrolled in, students can expect to explore these topics through JMG throughout the school year:

Self-Exploration

• What are you good at?

• What kinds of jobs would you enjoy?

Career Exploration

• What training or education is needed for the career you want?

• What is the job outlook and salary?

Career Training

• Where can you obtain the training and/or education needed to get the job you want?

• How much will that cost?

• How do you prepare for the next step?

Career Portfolio

Each student will develop a career portfolio which includes: 

1. cover letter

2. resume

3. copies of certifications/awards

4. examples of work completed

5. employment references
