TEACHING POSITIONS

Position Summary:

We are looking for an innovative teacher skilled in delivery quality instruction to commit to our vision of a holistic approach to education. You will bring technical savvy in combining face-to-face and virtual interaction with online content resources for personalized learning to foster graduates who are logical thinkers and are proficient in academic standards leading to post-secondary education and careers.  

As part of a dynamic team, your self-motivation, organizational skills and desire to drive instruction through assessments and student feedback will allow you to lead initiatives, work collaboratively and motivate others through a transformative process.

Responsibilities include teaching, planning, organizing, reporting and coordinating virtual and classroom learning opportunities.

General Expectations:

~ Current high school teaching certification – multiple subject areas encouraged with preference for math/science

~ Experience with standards based curriculum and proficiency based instruction

~ Exhibit a high level of comfort with all students, including those that are at-risk, and their families

~ Have a high degree of expertise with technology and web based resources

NON TEACHING POSITIONS

~Computer Technician

Full-time

Computer Technician – Districtwide

 

RSU 39 is seeking a full-time Computer Technician to provide technical support for teachers and students throughout the district.


This position is primarily responsible for the 1 to 1 Chromebook deployment and associated tasks with supporting the students and devices.  Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to troubleshoot general computer issues are required.  The culture of the IT department is one of sharing knowledge and teamwork with projects.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs maintenance, repairs, and updates for district technology

  • Performs general computer hardware and software troubleshooting

  • Provides end-user support for Google Apps for Education and other software

  • Implements annual device deployment and collection plans

  • Maintains the inventory of 1 to 1 laptop deployment and associated equipment

  • Transports technology equipment between locations

  • Completes other responsibilities as assigned by the Technology Director

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows, Apple, and Chromebook devices

  • Experience in supporting technology devices in an education setting preferred

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to assist users with varying levels of technical skills

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Experience with Google's G Suite Apps for Education is preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
